At first I wasn’t really interested in Hunter S. Thompson but when I read his work and watch some videos of him made me interest in him. I found out that he was famous for Gonzo journalism. "Thompson is often credited as the creator of Gonzo journalism, a style of writing that blurs distinctions between fiction and nonfiction. His work and style are considered to be a major part of the New Journalism literary movement of the 1960s and 1970s, which attempted to break free from the purely objective style of mainstream reportage of the time. Thompson almost always wrote in the first person, while extensively using his own experiences and emotions to color "the story" he was trying to follow. Putting the author himself in the story in his work was new to me, and his work was very interested and fun to read. I really liked it. But I really began to like Hunter S. Thompson, after I saw some of his clip in the internet. By watching him talk and act, it was all true. What I mean by true is that, most people doesn’t act themselves true in front of the camera. Hunter S. Thompson just talked and acted in his real style. That really got in to me, because by watching him getting interview on T.V, I knew that he is a person that doesn’t mind other people what they think about him and live the way he wants to live. It’s hard for people to live like that, and especially for a writer. I like people who does things that no one does. Order to do that it needs a lot of courage. I like Hunter S. Thompson because He has own world. Even though he lives same world as me, but to me it looked like his living in different world. I like writer who thinks and act different than people like me, because than I will enjoy the work.
